About Us

Humble and reverential adoration is to be given exclusively to the living and true God. Worship must be offered with sincerity from the heart and aided by the Holy Spirit. Genuine worship in the corporate setting must be that which is prescribed by the Holy Scriptures.

We are to endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, build one another up in love, teach and admonish one another, and bear one another’s burdens thereby fulfilling the law of Christ.

We are commissioned by our Lord to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that He has commanded us.

We believe that the faith we adhere to is taught very clearly in the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. The beliefs are not of recent origin but have been believed by Baptists and Reformed Christians for centuries.

Our confession of faith goes back to the time when English Baptists met in London in 1689 and drew up the London Baptist Confession.

Among these beliefs are:

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” – II Timothy 3:16

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19

“Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” – Titus 2:13

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

“This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” – Acts 1:11

“I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” – I Timothy 3:15

It is our belief that a knowledge of these truths and others commonly called evangelical are essential to all who would know the One whom to know is life eternal.

Scripture is central to all we believe and do. This is so because Jesus Christ declared, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

Jesus believed the scriptures, He structured His life and ministry by the scriptures and all who would be His followers should follow His example in this as in all things.

Our church and ministry began its life in 1978 when several families in the Pine Bush area began to meet for Bible studies and to encourage one another in the Christian faith.

For 12 years the church met for worship in rented facilities and in members homes until, in the summer of 1990, facilities were built on Red Mills Road.
